The Good: Cuts clean and fast, about typical for a 50amp plasma cutter. Can manage 5/8" if going slow. Tig is a smooth arc and welds pretty good for a 350 dollar machine. The Stick welding is also really smooth and dialing in current is easy and quick and precise. Seems to be built reasonably well aside from one small issue. Uses an AG-60 and a WP17 torch and tig so consumables are cheap. The Bad: The cheapy air regulator stopped working about 2-3 hours into use. Small solder joint cracked, likely from the rough shipping it received; causing the machine to only run stick instead of tig and plasma and took some troubleshooting but I blame it on the rough handling in shipping. Ran for a while all processes then stopped until I resoldered the bad connection. The manual was useless as it was misprinted badly and poorly translated. It does not like to tig or cut with long ground leads. Stick is fine but the HF won't start an arc with a long ground lead. The included ground clamp and stick electrode leads are about 7 foot and of cheaper quality but the torches are okay and about 12-15 foot. Overall it is a pretty solid little machine and I've already put it through more work than most probably ever would in a couple week's time. Tigs good, stick welds good, and cuts good. Aside from the annoyingly short leads, I can't find much to complain about now that it is running good and I know its quirks. Be sure to order some extra plasma consumables for the ag-60 torch and a flow meter as it isn't included for tig. If you can get past the cheap accessories included and have a few different parts to spare in the shop to swap out on the machine, you won't be disappointed. Compared to a 2000 dollar hypertherm, this will cut just the same save for the pilot arc start, but the HF is fine nonetheless. Longevity may or may not be there, time will tell, but you can make back your money in work so it is a good value on that basis.Read full review

For what you pay this machine is a great entry level welder. The plasma cutter works flawlessly up to 3/8 but will handle the 1/2 inch material with a little extra effort. Arc and tig work well.
