This is the exact same pump I had in my hot tub since new. It's the 2 speed, filtration pump is it runs quite a bit and as one might expect, it went out, while the other is working well. I use my tub a lot, so my pumps get a workout. I am not sure why, but this pump although identical is a bit noisier than my old one used to be on high speed, low speed is the same fairly quiet on the original and this one as well. If weight is a sign of quality, this is a good pump. These are heavy. The wet ends seem very decent as well. My first pump for some reason worked on both low and high, but it must have been that high, it could not reach the higher RPM even though you could hear that kick in. I have had other hot tubs with different makes of pumps and seems I had to replace them more often than this one and this brand. I will say that the first pump did a great job and if this one goes the six or seven years like the old one did, we'll be doing well. If you can make this pump work I would not hesitate to put it in if you have a need for a 2 speed 240v pump. It's pretty simple to wire as well with only three leads and a ground...however, don't just transfer wires from your old pump as they might not line up exactly, for example common on this pump is in the middle with high speed closest to the ground and low speed at the bottom. If I had wired it the same as my old pump, it would not have worked as common was on top, then high speed, then low speed front to back on the pump wiring. Bottom line is this is a good pump and backyard has been a great Ebay vendor to work with.Read full review

5hp motor looks new and the wet end also appears brand new. I'd had to re-clock the 2" wet end for the spa but easy enough. the unit is quite and should last for many years. buying this rebuilt unit saved me $100. over new
