Works great and easy to use, and produces a good bit of smoke once you prime it once starting it. {hitting the button 2 short times} however surprised to see no on and off button. Manuel is a little disappointing as well with very little details about the machine in English. Good price works well, but low quality
I was a first time fog machine owner so I had low expectations, I only wanted to use it one day a year for a small Halloween effect in my front yard, it worked well for that purpose, the wireless remote was nice to have and is why I picked this particular unit. But I don't think it would be reliable for anything but a occasional use. The internal construction is low quality, it has a three prong grounded cord with no attached ground to it's chassis and the fuse is strictly for show and is not hooked up to anything. I would only use it on a area where if it caught fire or over heated it would not be a big deal. Does what I need, albeit sporadically
Good value for the price. 4 stars only because if you stand on the pedal, the unit will run for a minute or so and then stop. I'm not sure if it overheats or just needs to reset itself. If you hit the button intermittently, it will keep fogging for as long as you wish. Not for heavy usage
I'm giving it 3 stars because for the price it did perform, but note; this is definitely a very lower-end model. It is built well and everything has a good solid feel and is simple to set-up and use. It comes with enough fog fluid to fill the entire tank up and a bit left over and I used very little during the time it was operating. It did put out good thick fog, but unfortunately, it didn't operate very long, maybe 8-10 minutes, before overheating and shutting itself down. It took about 15 minutes to cool down enough to start again, but only worked for about 3-4 minutes, then shut down again and so on. It seemed to take longer to cool down and put out fog for less time each time cycle. I bought the unit to produce fog for a studio photo shoot, which it did in a limited capacity, so the shoot was quite hindered by the start/stop overheating issues of the unit. I was paying a model and studio time and had 3 other photographers there, so needless to say we were quite disappointed that we didn't get the shots we had hoped for. Again, for very light and minimal usage this unit will be okay.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Updated model = lower quality
I bought several of these since I had some of this model previously. They have apparently updated the model, and made a few cosmetic changes. One of those changes is a shorter cord for the fog controller. Much shorter! The cord used to be probably 10 ft long, and now it is more like 6. So you can't get very far away from the machine to hit the fog button. Another change must be an internal one since I've had trouble with all of these actually producing fog reliably. The instruction manual now tells you if you have problems you are to rotate the fog machine 45 degrees. That works for a little bit and then it quits shooting fog until you rock it back and forth.
