      Excellent Home Office All-In-One Printer- Works Well with Aftermarket Ink!

      I've had a few Brother MFC's over the years and I feel they offer the best overall value for home & small office use. Mine have performed reliably until they get around 5 years old, at which time the paper path rubber rollers and feeders acquire a "glaze" to them which causes mis-feeds and paper jams. Not really the printer's fault- it's just the way rubber gets as it ages; All printers suffer this fate sooner or later. But for the years of good service I get, I find Brothers to be a cut above. The print heads are well designed and don't need replacing like HP's, and if print quality needs a tune-up, the Head Cleaning utility typically works fine. Which leads me to my final comments: I don't print photos on the specialty papers available for that purpose. I print documents and stuff off ...

      Brother Printer

      It was fortunate this printer was the exact same model that I was replacing. I had the manual here as well as the cable that came with it which was not in with the one I just bought from eBay. The printer was not printing and after a call to the manufacturer's tech support and a lot of time later they got it to work. This required very extensive cleaning and reprograming to get it to work. The bottom line now is that it is working, but had a lot to do with the fact I was replacing the exact same model and spent considerable time with tech support. A full set of ink was sent with the printer but was all used up with tech support to get the printer in working order with the extensive cleaning.

      Ink saver

      I purchased this Brother based on other reviews and pc world noting that Brother typically was the most furgal with ink. Set up was very easy and wifi has been flawless so far with pc and apple products. Print quality was noted as only average but the quality seems just fine to me. Very happy with this printer so far.

      OK printer, not great !

      Print quality not near what was expected. You can make adjustments to improve quality, but they change back to factory settings after machine goes to sleep then wakes up. Pain in the butt to have to constantly reset. Even then color print quality is OK at best.

      Clogged ink head but still good

      Received printer with a clogged ink head, black works great but have to unclog colored heads to get all all working. Understandable because it hasn't been used in a while
