Great Receiver BUT
The auto set up with mic would cause most people to return the product. Levels are very low. It wasn't until I tried manually adjusting the levels that the system worked. It has great sound and turns off, through the ARC HDMI, automatically. Nice feature. Too bad it doesn't turn on automatically. Also it is a pain to tweak the rear channels (oh anything else but volume). You have to drill down thru the on screen menus to adjust and must remember to be on the ARC input to do that, which takes away the source you're trying to adjust for. The sound quality is superb. Clear, well balanced (no boomy base or fake midrange "presence", powerful. Great receiver
Love this receiver. I was not sure if to order this or not as some people called it an entry level but man I'm so glad I ordered it. It's amazing and so much powerful. Powered my big speakers and is so loud. The interface is so easy to use. I love it for the price. I bought it as Best Buy open item for lower price but it was just like new. Great Value, Easy to Use
It was easy to set up. Good: Almost everything was in the box. The only thing missing in this open-box unit was the setup microphone. I had one from my previous receiver, so I used that one. Took me about 30 minutes to get it un-boxed, cabled and set up. Controls are understandable and it works well with my Logitech remote. One thing I don't like is when I turn on my blue ray player, it automatically switches input. I may not be ready for that. You know, put in the disc and wait for all the commercials to run. There may be a setting for this, but I've not gone looking yet. Since I'm standing by the unit, I just select the input from the front of the unit to return to what I want until I'm ready to go to the BrP.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

AWESOME RECEIVER!!
I got this on sale for $180 and couldn't be happier. I'm running 2 Klipsch R10s, a Klipsch center and 2 Klipsch Icon bookshelfs for surrounds along with a klipsch sw10 woofer. The sound quality is amazing and the Yamaha calibration thing was easy to use. This receiver does everything I need it to do. I have all my gaming systems running through it and my tv obviously. Excellent sound
Had to try to combat the review score cause of the guy that rated it a 1 because he didn't get a remote. Really?
