    Nice idea, mediocre execution, please fix this Emerson!

    The male spade connectors are not long enough to allow A/C system wiring connectors to fully seat on the spades. The plastic top cover needs a redesign in this area, to allow enough clearance to prevent system wiring insulation from laying against the cover. I was able to mostly solve this problem by cutting away some of the plastic surrounding the connectors. The contact markings on the device and instructions are hopelessly confused! The "L" and "T" side terminology and diagrams on the instruction sheet are contradictory when comparing the front and back side of the sheet. The labels on the mechanical drawing on the front of the sheet don't match the wiring diagrams on the back. And on the unit itself, the labels on the sticker applied to the front of the unit (apparently as an ...

    Worth the money and peace of mind.

    The solid state relay is quiet. The relay has electrical brown out protection built in. The contacts will not wear away or burn like traditional contactors always do. Traditional contactors will fail and are costly to have replaced with a new one. This solid state sure switch relay should last longer than the the heat pump itself. Great peace of mind.
