    Don't hesitate to buy refurbished items.

    The product looks new out-of-the box. It was easy to set-up from a hardware standpoint. Connect the coax cable, connect the ethernet cable, and power. I did a factory reset before attempting to register the device. That's the easy part. Following the directions provided in the documentation, I connected to the cable company.through a browser. Do read the documents before you start. Well, I tried to connect. It appeared the connection was not stable. After multiple attempts, This process is bona fide stupid on behalf of the cable company. I had to call the cable company to activate and register the modem. That's an adventure. After struggling with the language barrier, I got it working. It's been reliable so far. It's been less than a month. I'm using an old router and need to upgrade. I ...

    You cannot use the 4 ports, only 1.

    Pro-I have 1.2Gbps service so it worked for that. Con- The 3 extra ports are useless unless you doing a Aggregated setup. I was hoping to use the ports for my WiFi Router, Gaming PC, Xfinity security router, and my server. You cannot as it doesn't have DHCP.

    Netgear Nighthawk 3.1 is the best upgrade ever! Great Price and Fast Delivery. All my speeds are faster and cleaner. My previous Netgear Docis 3.0 was only 11 year old, but I suspected I was getting "throttled" even after I got COX cable Fiber optics installed in my area. The price of this Modem saved me $1,000's as the Cable companies are attempting to make you PAY More and act like Lying Telemarketers.(Beware) I am so happy I got this device and my signals are better and clearer and I do Radio talk shows and media on Dar Outpost with David Zublick.

    The missing stand proved to be no proble...

    The missing stand proved to be no problem. I was able to access the MAC number in the modem and used the stand off of my dead CM1100 so I now have a fully functional standby modem. Thank you for putting this modem on eBay instead of throwing it away!
