    This has become my go-to OD/Dist pedal on my board.

    I have had more expensive pedals (Mad Professor, EHX, MXR, OCD. But they never performed well with other effects through my Marshall JVM & JCM. Clean is one thing, but to get a nice lead with effects really lets this Boss shine. The price, amazing! This was a brand new in box never used perfect unit! So happy I took the plunge. To a little OD auto OMG.......this gets it done!

    Yuck! Does not sound good with my amp

    I was all excited to get this but it just does NOT play nicely with my amplifier (solid state Randall RG100ES). Just didn't work for me at all. Maybe it goes well with other amps or playing styles?

    AWESOME!

    I have been using it just before my DI Box when recording without an amp. The level output is fantastic for direct recording. Clean,Crunch or Drive you can really hear the British Stack tone! I'm keeping it on my pedal board for good.

    Nails the old combo tone.

    This pedal sounds great and it has one of the most effective gain control I've used making it extremely versatile. You can dial this in to the old Fender combo sounds to over the top drive. The "crunch" is spot on old Fender and the tone controls help you get the sound you want. Turn the "crunch" up and you can get some serious saturation reminisant of a full blown stack. Great pedal effect.
