Great tool for the home shop
I did not anticipated that the plastic tool material would provide a long service life, but it truly seems stoutly constructed, working as advertised, and so much more elegantly designed than more complex competing design. It employees a simple and cool feature to assure more consistent dowelled corner alignment. Now I do like this feature, but it seems flimsier than the rest of the tool and it seems here that we may find a potential issue. The dowel centering works very well, but I imagine a ham fisted user may break the handle or launch alignment pins when they crank it too hard, too often. No problem there, with my arthritis. It takes a little to learn how to use it, be firm with the grip and how you hold it and light it up. I used this on my very first dowel project and even with my errors, I still highly recommend this item.
