The description was inaccurate but I would not expect a non-expert to know that this was a Spanish Mountain Troop axe, not a US Mountain Troop axe. I had suspicions that it wasn't US when I bought it (the listing photos were excellent) but I could not identify it myself. I had to ask an expert in Spain. I can hardly blame the seller for the misidentification.
