A distinctive old school dry sound.
This cymbal might not work for every situation. But for my needs, it is the perfect. This ride is super mellow with a deep, dark wash. Reminds me of the kind of jazz ride sounds you hear from the 50s and 60s. I mainly wanted this cymbal because of that. I needed something that I can hit with a comfortable amount of force without overpowering a small venue the way most "rock oriented" rides tend to...bright and pingy. This is the complete opposite. So, unless you are really going for the dark and muted sound, this cymbal is not for you. At least, I would say, this is probably not the only ride cymbal you should have. It's really nice of have this option in my cymbal bag for the "quieter" gigs.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
