Finally sharp knives!
After years of unsuccessfully trying to sharpen kitchen, and other knives, using manual sharpeners including hours over a wet stone, I took the plunge and bought an electric sharpener. I did a lot of research, reading reviews, etc, but what swayed me to the Trizor was a Cook's Illustrated video review of several electric sharpeners where the Trizor was the top pick. It's heavy and appears solidly built. There are three bays with different fineness of sharpening stones. The instructions are very good. The 'secret' to the effectiveness of the Trizor are the guides that position knives at 15 degrees, all you do it pull them through. Knives are sharpened in minutes instead of hours using a wet stone! Sharpener means business
This sharpener is far superior to a sharpening stone, first, it uses diamond surface to sharpen with. And the most important part is the angle of 15 degrees remains constant from the tip all the way back. You can never get such a consistent angle trying by freehanding it.
