But the soft bubble wrap envelope allowed someone, maybe the USPS carrier, to manhandle the book by folding the envelope into a "Z" shape, which was transferred to the book. I took this up with my local USPS manager. Good that you brought this up with the USPS; I hope that they at least remunerate you for the damage. If you don't mind, let me know how that turns out. I have tried placing stiff cardboard inserts and framing items in the mailers with styrofoam blocks and still the USPS was able to damage a few packages.
