    Philips Sonicare 4100

    The product works well, but do not like the sonic application. It tickles my gums and almost makes me laugh while brushing my teeth. Slowly getting used to it, but the biggest issue is with the gums on the inside front (both top and bottom). Hence I am giving this a 4 and not a 5. I used to have the oral-B and with the circular head, did not have this ticklish problem.

    Do not buy this unit, it is very slow, uses a USB cable, not a plug in.

    This unit does not have the power of the electric version 4100. It is significantly slower. Very disappointed. This unit powers with a USB cable, not a plug in to wall.

    It has good traits and features however I really detest that after a short time with one brush head it will keep throwing a fit until you replace it. My dentist has rated my teeth as cleaned well with over half year old brush heads.

    Best toothbrush ever

    I bought this same toothbrush about 2.5 years ago and it was transformational for my teeth and dental care. Unfortunately it finally stopped working a few weeks ago and bought the exact same one. During that time unitl i received the order, I used a normal toothbrush and could instantly feel the plaque buildup. The 4100 Sonicare radically reduced all the basic plaque around my teeth in a matter of a couple of weeks and kept it at bay for the duration. Note, I use Arm & Hammer Advance White Breath Freshening Toothpaste, which is by far the best toothpaste you can possibly get (that's for another review) and it has helped reduced any cavity development, keeps the plaque off my teeth and is verified by my dentist as having radically improved my teeth.     Great product at great price

    I thought that the design could have been a little more ergo dynamic. i.e. there should have been a slight bend in the head of the toothbrush so that it would fit more easily in the lower front part of the tooth lineup.
