Bought this to use while traveling, as it is made to be used with an existing toilet seat, plus this item is also made for a heavier person. It has worked well, is stable, and the included clamps worked just fine. I weigh over 300 pounds, and it provides good support. I have been able to use it with both regular and elongated bowls, again keeping in mind this unit sits in front of the raised existing toilet seat.
