  • Great time saver

I have a 27cc craftsman trimmer / weed eater. Whatever you want to call it. I have had it for probably five years bought at a local sears. I used it a few times at my old house in Lexington, Ky with a small yard and not much trimming to do, so I only used it a couple times a year. I would store it vertically on a hanger in my garage. It gradually got harder and harder to keep running, I'm guessing because of air/fuel issues. I think storing it hanging vertically ate away some seals or something in the carburetor because there was always oil/fuel all over the motor and it wasn't very old. I modified it to where I could adjust the idle fuel and the full throttle fuel and I could get it to work but I had to carry a screw driver around in my back pocket to adjust the air-fuel mixture every so often. I moved to a larger place with a lot more trimming needed and got tired of messing with the carburetor between cold and hot starts. I almost bought a new trimmer. I read reviews on this carburetor and I was sold on it. It saved me probably $250 because I was about to buy an echo or stihl. I swapped the carbs out, primed it, and it started in two pulls. Ran great at a cold start and ran great at a hot start. Consistently starts anytime I need it and revs right up... doesn't matter if it's cold or hot. I'm very happy with this purchase. So happy that I decided to write a review for the first time EVER. I'm happy the it makes trimming great again!

  • Saved my trimmer

Worked great right out of the box. A really cheap way to save your craftsman trimmer. Installs with two bolts, and some fuel tubing. The tubing is tight in the fuel tank (on purpose) but if you cut a taper into the end of tubing and feed it in with a point, it's starts fairly easily. Then just pull it through with a needle nose and cut the end square after it's in. Installation took 5 minutes start to finish. A few primes on the fuel bulb was all it took to start up with her new life. No adjustments or tuning required. Great way to save an old trimmer from the scrap heap. I will say that the priming system was slightly different than my oem carb. But I think this new one is the better system. Just don't buy this for parts to salvage your oem one. It may not work.

  • Replace the carburetor, don't rebuild it!

I purchased this carburetor for a Poulan Pole Saw. I tried to rebuild the old carburetor but still couldn't get it to work properly. I spent just a little more than the rebuild kit and purchased this carburetor. I put it on and it started right up. It runs great. My only regret is all the time and money I spent trying to get the old carburetor to work.

  • ZAMA small engine replacement carburetor kit 753-06288

Con: 1. This is the first small engine carburetor out of ~ 15 that I have replaced that has required several adjustments to get it to idle and it's only been used once so far post install, but following high throttling it will often die. [But easily restarts]. We'll have to see how that goes. 2. Wrong air filters for my Craftsman WeedWhacker Mod. 316791191. [But already had air filters] Pro: 1. The included fuel line & fuel filter were a MUST! The Spark Plug and extra Priming Bulbs will be used.

  • Git 'er done, use what you can make work.

Carburetor fit what I put it on and worked. I did not use on intended product, but, on another trimmer that had the same type of carburetor. Had to try since my trimmer was listed nowhere to be found. Had to throw away filter since it would not work on my trimmer. Still a good value.

  • Reasonable price and works well first try.

Started right up and I used my leaf blower for a half hour. I used it again the next day and it seemed to bog down a little. Not sure if the carb or another problem. Time will tell.

  • AWESOME!

Exact OE replacement for troy bilt 2 stroke 27cc weed whacker. installed and had the trimmer running in less than 5 minutes. Would buy again because its easier to replace than troubleshoot if gunked up with old untreated gas.

  • Great Carburetor at a Great Price

I put this carburetor on my Sears Craftsman 27cc string trimmer, and the trimmer runs like a top. It started right up, it starts back up when the engine is hot, and I didn't have to do any adjustments on the carb. Unbelievable for a $15.96 carb with gaskets, fuel line, fuel filter, and extra priming bulb. I couldn't be happier.
