    Strongest Dialog is Acted, Not Spoken. Excellent!

    The story is about an estranged father that realizes how empty and unfulfilling his life is when his 11 year old daughter suddenly arrives on his doorstep. He is a celebrity in L.A. that drives a Ferrari, but the film reveals the negatives of his pampered and emotionally detached lifestyle. The acting is truly top notch here. Stephen Dorff is believable in the role of the father and Elly Fanning's acting is superior. My favorite element of the movie is the lack of dialog. The acting is so good, dialog would have only detracted from some of the larger moments in the film. After watching it, I found myself remembering scenes and the emotions they evoked rather than lines that were spoken. It is refreshingly different and crafted in the same fashion as the very best silent films. I thoroughly ...

    "Somewhere" should have been titled "Sometime" as the movie took way too long in its development of story and characters.
