An innovative but disturbing take on the standard police-detective genre, the Americanized CRACKER survived for only 16 one-hour episodes before it was cancelled. This collection presents the short-lived series in its entirety, featuring guest appearances by LAW & ORDER's Mariska Hargitay and Coltrane himself.

Psychologically interesting and challenging.
Highly unusual psychologist detective. His character is excellent at work but highly flawed with his wife and son. He also has a dysfunctional relationship with a female detective. Cases are interesting and psychologically challenging as the effort to solve some cases are thrillers
