The item came as described. However, the item was previously under another account . I contacted the seller to deactivate. I regrettably used stern wording about getting a refund if TiVo could switch accounts without it being previously deactivated. The seller offered to refund if necessary even with me being overly aggressive. Tivo was able to switch it to my account.
So, I have a device that works fine and learned a valuable lesson about patience and decorum.
