I was expecting just an OK new CD from Slayer and did not get my hopes up to high for World Painted Blood after Metallica's disapointing CD's after the black almbum. I was wrong. This is the best Slayer so far and I have been listening to them since the 1980's. They retain all the raw metal riffs from 20 years ago without selling out like all new bands today that all sound the same. If you ever liked Slayer before you will like World Painted Blood.
The CD came in a while back but now I'm writing a review. good cd the quality was great no damage love Slayer

This is an amazing old school release by the legendary Slayer! I enjoyed all 11 songs and never once skipped a track. There's more diversity here than on Christ Illusion, which in itself was one of the best metal albums of 2006! Tom actually sings on some tracks, and the music has a deeper more sinister feel to it. The lyrical subject matter is also very diverse, which reflects the different writing techniques of Jeff Hanneman and Kerry King. It may not be Reign in Blood, but in my opinion this new album comes very close, and deserves to join the ranks of Slayer's greatest and most classic releases!
Slayer slay's again, If you've enjoyed Slayer for the past decade or so...you'll enjoy this CD. It is Slayer revisited. The Slayer you've grown up with. They sound as if they've combined a dish from each of their other albums and then tightened the hell out of it. They're living up to their rep - leaving now chord undisturbed. In summary, if you've enjoyed Slayer in the past- you'll love it. First time w/Slayer, you may need to sit calmly. Not for the family BBQ...Enjoy cranked loudly while driving or knitting.
This album is the best of all very good SLAYER cd !! βπΎπ€πΎπ€πΎ
