I was looking for a couple of simple pieces of polarizing film for use with my microscope to replace a pair that got misplaced in a move. They are perfect to create a crossed polarization effect.

Nice weight Polarizing film for optics and photography projects.
Received 10 square shaped pieces, each of which is inserted in a small, photo sized clear poly sheet protector. Film was free from scratches and of sufficient rigidity to enable easy mounting. Rotating two superimposed pieces of this linearly polarizing film results in transmittance minimum at 90º offset. It will be ideal for my photographic lighting usage. The price and quality are excellent, as was very fast shipping. Poor optical transparency of polarizing film
Whilst the polarizing film does effectively deliver polarized light and blocks light when polarizing sheets are crossed, the optical transparency is not so good. It is about the same as looking through a plastic bag. This might be useful for some purposes but my application used the film to project polarized light onto an object and then a camera would view the object with a second polarizing sheet rotated at a different plane. The image is not clear due to the poor optical transparency of the sheets.Whilst the polarizing film does effectively deliver polarized light and blocks light when polarizing sheets are crossed, the optical transparency is not so good.
