You cannot go wrong purchasing the rice cookers made in Japan. There are two great brands which make good rice cookers. One is Zojirushi, the other is Tiger. I am very please with this product so far. Only complain I have is the electric cord doesn't retract like the Tiger's. It is very easy to use and cooks rice fluffy & great.

I did my research on rice cookers and wanted a really nice one. The Zojirushi brand rice cookers seemed to have high ratings and I really wanted one that had induction heating. Yes it's more expensive but it is worth it! It cooks rice more evenly. I also love that it seems really sturdy. Another nice thing is when you start cooking rice it plays twinkle twinkle little star and when it finishes it plays a different tune rather than the generic beeping that sounds like a fire alarm. Overall it is really nice for what it is worth and I really liked the big, plastic chopsticks that came as an extra gift.

Best rice cooker out there! If you buying from US and you outside of US, beware of 110V input of the device.

I had a higher version rice cooker of the same brand. It was broken. I did not notice any difference in term of the quality of the rice cooked. Between the two versions.
