Strong & sturdy
i was worried that this gate would not be sturdy, but it has been ideal for our living room entrance, even better than the standard sized one we have in our kitchen doorway. Granted, this one has a larger door frame to move around in without slipping off and the 35 lb German Shepherd puppy jumps/leans on it less often, but it has been like a rock. I’ve noticed that the extra red lock seems to engage easily even if you aren’t necessarily trying to use it, requiring two hands to re-open the gate, unlike our smaller kitchen gate which requires extra effort to engage the red lock. Easy to install, sturdy gate
Easy to install and sturdy. Keeps baby from stairs (installed in hallway before stairs) and keeps dog from running loose through baby's toys upstairs. Easy to open and shut one handed. Wish the opening were slightly wider so it would be easier to carry laundry through but not a big deal.
