Works like new. This model has a newer version of the BlackBerry shop. If you have a data plan with your provider, you can setup a secure email. Call quality is better than most of the Android devices/phones that I have had. Clear screen and crisp picture quality. I always have a classic (old school) BlackBerry on hand. Even with my current Android or Windows phone. The security of a BlackBerry is second to none.

So I was eyeing this little phone for a while and decided to get one, for the nostalgia factor. I looked all over eBay until I found this one. I got a discount on it, which I was pleased about, so I purchased it. It did not take long at all to arrive especially considering it came from a completely different country so I was happy about that. But, the phone only came in a little baggie with a charger and a battery. The back of the phone was absolutely disgusting, it was all sticky (?) and scratched to Hell, but whatever. The battery also came separately like I previously mentioned, and I have no idea how to open the back of the phone to put it in. No guide or manual whatsoever. Hopefully though, I can get it working because it is cute.

Overall: The Blackberry Bold 9650 is an awesome phone. It offers a variety of different features. I love the fact that BlackBerry made it WiFi compatible. The Trackpad beats the trackball anyday of the week, especially because it registers when you slide your thumb across it. Size: The phone is compact. It is about the size of the palm of my hand. Great Job on this. Camera: The camera is perfect at 3.2 MP and has a strong flash. Applications: The only downfall of these BlackBerry's are the applications provided for them. The apps are not as complex and fun as the ones you see with most smart phones today. However, there are still fun apps available for you to use! Speed and MultiTasking: You could definitely multi-task with this phone. It does somewhat slow down when you use the blackberry browser.Read full review

My first BB, sencond smartphone. It's all right, faster than my NOKIA smartphone if you use it in proper way. It took me a few days to update my 9650. However, I cannot use AT&T dataplan after loading service book downloaded from a website, which caused its network only worked through WIFI. I read some comments in some website about how verizon 9650 works in AT&T, but I gave up trying. Except the network thing, like browser, email, msm, it's a good smartphone even though finding a suitable version of some solfware is more difficult than my NOKIA. If you want to explore in BB world and crack it, it's a good choice.

If you can see my track record here on Ebay, you'll realize I buy and sell a lot of phones on the SPRINT network. The Blackberry 9650 is without a shadow of a doubt my favorite phone to date. Its fast, its reliable, it looks professional, it has a sensational keyboard, and its 6.0 ready. (Blackberry's new operating system) WiFi, bluetooth, BBM, facebook, twitter, push email, gtalk, yahoo messenger, MSN messenger, AIM, it runs all of these and more without skipping a beat. Very good battery life for a smart phone of this caliber. Camera is decent and does come with a flash, unlike the new Curves. There are no cons to this phone except for Price. Its still a little high for not being 4g capable or having a huge touchscreen. BUT that is only if you like touchscreen devices, which I personally do not. All I know is I have Two Android phones, an Instinct HD, and a Web Os Palm Pre, I could be using and have chosen the Blackberry Bold over all of them.Read full review
I bought this product because in my job, most of my co-workers use the BlackBerry Messenger to set up meetings and organize work. Having owned an iPhone, there is a stark difference in speed and ease of use. *Likes: * -The physical keyboard is really useful for those who need to "feel" what they are writting. -WiFi and BlueTooth are relatively easy to set up (once you've updated the software to the latest version). -BlackBerry Messenger. *Dislikes:* -The layout of the software is not really user friendly, and one has to really "dig" into it to make minor modifications. -Compared to others, this is a heavy gadget to carry around. -Sometimes calls get an echo from the caller which, in the same conditions with another phone, just wouldn't occur. -screen real state feels a little constricted. -Dialing a new number becomes a challeng if you are not used to the keyboard and start searching for the right key. -The appstore is cumbersome, and lacking in real software options. Overall, compared with recent advances in smartphones, this devices feels sort of left behind.Read full review
The BlackBerry Bold 9650 is perhaps one of RIM`s best creations. No, it is not a touchscreen unit. No, it is not a slider. However, this phone is solid, reliable, and has great battery life. I use it all day to read the news, check Facebook, send & reply email, check the weather, play games, and send text messages, and the battery lasts virtually all day. Its internet browsing capabilities using new 6.0 device software is amazing. It also works well as a modem tethered to your PC. It is a great choice!!!
Overall I feel that the Bold 9650 is a great device for CDMA users. We always seems to get left in the dust when it comes to the "latest and greatest" devices, so this device is a welcome relief (at least for now). Having Wifi, the optical trackpad, 512MB of memory and global options make this one of the best devices yet. Its a matter of opinion if it beats out the Bold 9700, but for CDMA users I think its the best offering thus far. I'll play around a bit more and hopefully crank out a comparison between the two. As far as CDMA goes I think this guy will win out for sure. If you're a touchscreen fan you will most likely want to hold out and see what lays down the line, but Curve 8300, 8830 and Tour users (pending upgrade) should definitely consider the Bold 9650. If you're jumping from another device or a new BlakcBerry user, this will be a much welcomed upgrade and you will no doubt love it. I'm still not totally sold on switching back from my Bold 9700 however. The 9650 is a good bit larger and heavier than the 9700, so I think I'll have to weigh out the pros and cons on both to see who ends up the final winner and "full-time" champ.Read full review
