I've had 3 other fountains for my multi-cat + one small dog household, and all did the trick. But those previous versions were nightmares to clean, difficult to keep filled, and the filters got pretty expensive. This is a slick design. It was easy to assemble and my four beasties were all keen on it right away. There are no nooks and crannies, making it super easy to clean. There are two filters - one to keep debris out of the pump, and a charcoal filter to keep the water fresh. Dogs tend to wash out their mouths when they drink and cats will reject that dirty water. This keeps them all happy and hydrated. To fill, just pour water in the bowl. Couldn't be easier. And the filters are relatively inexpensive and widely available. It was a bit more expensive than the plastic fountains I bought before, but well worth the upgrade.Read full review

I ordered this as I have multiple cats. It is so very noisy and honestly for the price and due to the fact I have excellent water in my home I find it a bit of a waste of hard earned money. My cats would not use it at first but they are drinking from it now. The quality is good, just be careful as it is ceramic and could easily break.

You definately hear the trickling of water which I love and find peaceful. if you don't like the sound of water then this is NOT for you. It is well made and very, very simple to keep clean. There are NOT alot of little nooks and crannies that can gather funk. It is wonderful!

I have two dogs and both like this fountain a lot. One drinks from the top while the other is drinking from the bottom. I love it because of how sturdy it is. The Porcelin material is long lasting and easy to clean.

The build quality is very nice. The fountain looks quite nice. The pump is near silent, but the water makes a loud sound. There is no flow adjuster on the pump. I ended up cutting a small piece of plastic (3/4 circle) and wedged it in the pump outlet right before the filter. This cuts the water flow down and makes it completely silent (it pours off the sides and hits the blue ceramic piece rather than the water pool). The way that the filter goes together, makes the cartridge replacements unnecessary. I just use aquarium filter floss, stick some in there, fill the chamber with activated carbon, lay some more floss on top, and snap it together.
