Only a couple of rides so far. o Mounting: The tires were hard to mount because they have a long sealing skirt below the bead, which was long enough to ride up over the valve entry point/gasket and push a wow in the tread so the tire wasn't straight or perfectly round when first mounted. Using a tire tool I forced the tire's internal skirt above/on top of the rubber valve gasket -- after 4 tries, got it on straight and round. Yay. Not a big deal. o Performance: traction is fantastic, even on the very wet pavement I've had available since they arrived, They are far smoother and quieter than the gravel king SK tires I had on before. My theory in getting these tires was that they have 1) advanced tread pattern with lots of edges for wet-pavement traction, yet a smooth center tread for pavement. 2) a tread compound that was promoted as being exceptional for wet traction (that's what I'm seeing so far), 3) bead-to-bead puncture protection (which I haven't challenged yet). I run 40 psi rear, 35 front on Mercury G1 rims, Width [internal] 24mm, [external] 30mm, which is pretty wide and surprising that the skirt competes with the valve for space. Very positive experience so far.Read full review
