I've been wanting a MP3 for awhile & did quite a bit of research. This Philips GoGear had good feedback, I like the small size & the arm-band makes it easy to have when I'm working. I really like the display, it will read the song names & artists. I debated on the fact it charges the battery from the computer & not having one that just took regular batteries, but it holds a charge for quite awhile (think upwards to 20hrs.)so am happy with that. It doesn't take very long to recharge either. You have to download Philips's songbird, which was simple, then you can download or copy the music to that, then it will automatically upload to the GoGear when its hooked up to the computer (I usually have mine already plugged in to charge while I'm looking for new music). It also has where you can download audio books too, which is cool but I haven't used it, and has alot of downloadable space, 4GB. Its also amazingly loud for such a little thing. I have no complants, I did find that the headphones that came with it were uncomfortable, but thats a personal preference. I would buy the Philips GoGear Raga again in a heartbeat and recommend it highly!Read full review
This little player is great. Easy to load music onto it. Doesn't have many features but if you are looking for a basic player this one works great. The battery last a very long time and the sound is very good. It is small and made of metal not plastic. This is the second one that I have owned. The last one I dropped and ran it over with my bike but before that happened it proved to be very reliable. I would recommend this mp3 player to a friend.

It's light, compact (as in fits in the palm of your hand!) and is great choice for those of us who have better things to do than weigh ourselves down with a bunch of 'bells and whistles'. It comes with an armband, which I love because I jog; and the power button is on the bottom- which you just slide to the right and hold for a few seconds to power the unit either on OR off. This means you there's no accidentally hitting buttons and then finding out later the dang thing's been on for the last three hours... But to keep from accidentally blasting yourself (or to keep little fingers from changing the settings) while the unit IS on, you just pop the very same button over to the left. Wallah! It's locked! Even without the bells and whistles, this is no Plain Jane mp3 player. In addition to holding your downloaded music, it has an FM radio. Good for me because sometimes, I get sick of my own music. (Then I get sick of the radio and switch back...) It also has a voice recorder. You can change the settings which includes the play mode (shuffle or no shuffle), the theme, (background color) and there's also a sleep timer. The sound is good with the included speakers which are the one's that wrap around your ear- which is also good for jogging. (Don't have to worry about earbuds suddenly popping out and when I'm 'in the zone'.) To charge up your Philips GoGear Raga, you just plug it into the USB port on your computer via the little USB cord that comes included. All drivers are loaded to your computer the first time you plug it in. I've read some people had trouble importing music to their player but I just plugged in the player, opened up my music file and right clicked on whatever selection then went down to the 'Send to' option. The mp3 player shows up by name and that's where I send it. I know people have different computers that do different things but that's how I got my mp3 player loaded with all my favorite tunes! All in all, I love it. Good quality, not overly expensive and still gives you the option to personalize it to your tastes. And lastly but not 'leastly', the sound is good. I'm pleased with my purchase.Read full review
Its a good cheap, and small mp3 player. I found it perfect for its compact size and the extras it all came with for the price I was looking at spending it for. I wanted one that would be good enough for my gym workouts and have a band that wouldn't be bulky or annoying during so. So this came out to be a good purchase of as 9/5/11.
I love this little thing. It is about 1/3 smaller than the Vibe my sister has, and has everything I wanted. It plays music and has a radio. I'm glad I found the simple device that I was looking for. If you want pictures this is not for you, but if you want an easy to use mp3 player that plays music it's just the ticket. Very easy to use and add music to. I would definately recommend.
Question 1: "Why did buy the product?" Because, I wanted an mp3 player. Question 2: "What do you like and dislike about the product?" I like the price I paid. Dislike how small it actually is. Question 3: "How does this product compare to others?" It's a downgrade... That said, I only wanted to listen to music so it meets my desires.
I have nothing especially to say. It lived up to my expectations. But it would be a lot better if the turn on/off button could be on the other side to the right of the "back" button. With the armband is just annoying as it is right now. I would also prefer to have touch buttons.
Generally speaking it is good for the money but the audio output is very low. I had to get a headphone amplifier to get the sound level I need. Also the pouch design is very poor, it takes a long time putting it on and off. Also having to push any button twice to execute the command is a hustle.
The team gave me the expected results, I recommend, is lightweight, has very good sound, enough memory for songs and other things.
i purchased one of these for my grandaughter and liked it so well i got another one. grandpaws like music in small packages too.
