About this product

Product Information

A vertical scrolling shooter vaguely reminiscent of 1942, D-Force has players piloting a helicopter through hostile skies, blasting away at enemy ships, killer birds and other cannon fodder. The cannons, missiles and other weapons are upgradeable via power-ups, and a huge boss awaits players at the end of each of the game's 10 short levels. The action is typical for a game of this type, and the graphics and sounds are about average for an SNES title. What gives the game a shred of uniqueness is a special Exploration Mode, which often puts enemies on a different plane than that of the helicopter. This forces gamers to utilize the L and R buttons in order to adjust the altitude of their craft.

  • 'D-Force' the name says it..

this is your basic shoot em up style arcade game. You are a helicopter armed with a gun shooting everything in sight. When you do you get these "power ups" they give you more shooting power and you're able to blow up everything else. You can you control forward and back, left and right but the screen always pull forward. It only stops when you're are the end of the stage and have to defeat the last level "villain" This game is great, brings you back to when arcade games was the shiznit right into your home. I love it. I hate to see what happens when tube tv's are completely phased out..

  • Better Than Its Reputation

It's not a bad shooter by any means, it's just middling and has some of the worst music on the SNES.
