This film should be required viewing for all American citizens who value their freedom. Although the NVA nor the VC were (at that time) a serious threat to main land United States, everyone should know and be aware of the challenges that American soldiers overcame in defense of Old Glory, Freedom, Demoracy, and the never ending fight against oppression. Most American citizens (as they sleep safe in their nice warm beds at night) don't appreciate the sacrafice of the American soldier. Gunney Hathcock was a personal hero of mine...and all I was was an Army "mud dawg" in Vietnam. I wish I had been more like him. Gunney was a true American Hero !!!!! Former Sgt T. L.
