Wish It Would Continue
I enjoyed more the "horse" part of the series more than the field training. Really opened my eyes the Trooping of the Color and Changing of the Guard is a lot of hard work. I wish the series could have focused more on the horses and men and less on the training for battle in the tanks though this did present a different side to their all around training. These men really fight for God and Country and are not just for show. I wish they would have a follow-up to the lives of these men including the officers. It would not have to be a long series but one which would show us what became of them. I would recommended this to all my friends. They are from the states and found the series just as interesting as I did. The history, pageantry, the hard work, elegance . . I would love to live in London to see these men and horses every day as they make their way through the city and country.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Thoroughly Informative Documentary
This two disc documentary is beautifully filmed, and well presented. It covers the two units who are responsible for the security of Buckingham Palace residents, formost, the Queen. The action follows new recruits who must learn to mount and ride well, and work under pressure while in spiffy heavily detailed uniforms. Time is split between England and Canada, where the tactical side of the military duties are performed in readiness of call up for action. The narrative holds the attention of the viewer.
