  • Not suitable for new construction would violate NEC

The issue is the National Electric Code, not the breaker. These kind of "double ganged" or "Peanut" breakers are no longer allowed for new installation- however, they are permitted for retrofitting/rework applications. For my house it was perfect since it's 40+ years old.
