Good clubs for high handicappers, but not a miracle worker
If you watch the infomercials and You Tube videos on these wedges (and others like them) they show a “senior” hacker hitting a conventional wedge into the wall of the bunker and sculling it over the green, then they are handed one of these and miraculously on the first swing put the ball within gimmie distance of the cup. Sorry to say, but that just ain’t gonna happen. Like any club, particularly scoring clubs like sand and lob wedges, using them requires a lot of practice and getting a feel for what they’re going to do from various lies (fluffy grass, tight lies, soft sand, packed sand, etc.). There is a learning curve. That being said, with some work these clubs can be effective, and are more forgiving, particularly on mis-hits, than conventional wedges, particularly better ... That being said, with some work these clubs can be effective, and are more forgiving, particularly on mis-hits, than conventional wedges, particularly better player forged blades. I have used them to get out of high wall green side bunkers with moderate success. The downside(s)...they are not an instant fix like the ads for them lead you to believe. Like any other wedge they require practice. The sole is so wide that you can’t open up the face without getting the leading edge high enough off the ground to result in a sculled shot except on very fluffy lies. I guess the idea behind them is that with that much loft you don’t need to open them up. The 65* wedge is pretty much a one trick pony. Most golfers will rarely use it. If you stick to the USGA 14 club limit you have to decide which club to take out. If you don’t care about the limit, go for it. I took them out of the bag and went back to using my Cleveland CBX 60* wedge...also very forgiving, and can be opened up slightly to increase the effective loft. I give them a cautious thumbs up for seniors and high handicappers.

Pros: Good weight, feels like it is easy to hit. I find that you are less likely to dig these but may still blade them. You still have to commit to the shot to prevent blading it. Seems solid, still working on honing in distances. Club face is good quality. Grooves are good, but no extra milling that would promote extra spin if you are looking for that. With these high lofts, extra spin seems less beneficial. Cons: The red lined area on the bottom is slightly inset and collects dirt.Pros: Good weight, feels like it is easy to hit. Short game improvement
Was walking out the door to go to driving range and clubs had just arrived. Took them with me and they are awesome easy to hit and perfect for the short game. If you are looking to improve your game get them both. The 59 degree is a sand wedge and the 65 is a lob wedge.
