ATI 5770 Video Card Review
Excellent for the price, got it for $100 and it works great with my 23" LG flatscreen and ibuypower i530 machine w/ 4 GB memory. Plays my games smoothly at its native resolution on 1920x1080. Noise level doesn't change much under full load. Noticeable but not distracting for me. Easy to enable overclocking through the Catalyst Control center if you desire. I have only one gripe, and i think its with the Windows 7 O/S display drivers, but I'm not sure. Since I'm using the HDMI port for my monitor, I am using a DVI-VGA converter to connect to my 37" 1080p Vizio TV ~15 feet away, and is UNABLE to output native 1080p resolution to my TV! Best it can do is a nonstandard 720p resolution that cant clone onto my LG monitor. The ATI drivers DO NOT allow custom resolutions like Nvidia's ... My 4 year old laptop can drive 1080p resolution over VGA connection WITHOUT ANY ISSUES to this TV! Either ATI needs to enable users to set custom resolutions and/or windows needs to fix the incompatibility between WDDM1.0 and WDDM1.1 systems. If you have WDDM1.0 hardware (Most or all Pre-2010 TVs) Dont expect Windows 7 to recognize and allow native resolutions. Nvidia has same issues but allows custom resolutions like on my nvidia/intel laptop. I dont have any Display Port hardware to test that 3rd output port of the video card, but the HDMI does successfully carry sound along with the video to my monitor. Make sure to pay attention to your video card outputs. Video cards from different manufacturers may have different configurations. Hope this helps.

Great value for money GFX Card that provides excellent gaming performance
The Radeon HD 5770 is an exceptional graphic card that provides excellent "bang for the buck". I've owned it for over a year and it has been able to play every game I've thrown at it. It's also great for watching 1080p video content using GPU hardware acceleration (DXVA2). Excellent card, low power draw, and amazing price point. You can't really go wrong with it!

Excellent card, though dual slot is welcomed
This is a good card for high end gaming. I recommend Crossfire this card since the money is still cheaper than a 5870 if you don't plan to crossfire 5870. There might be problem with resuming from sleep mode in Windows 7 if you don't uninstall the previous driver completely and reinstall the driver with this card inserted (in my case, I removed my 4870 for this one and I got that problem, I did a fresh windows install and the problem seemed to disappear). I am kinda disappointed since this card does not have dual slot, I wonder if that is the reason the card idle at 49C.This is a good card for high end gaming. I like it... alot. I mean alot. Really, I like it. You know I have to have 100 characters so really... I like it. No really, I like it. It is a good graphics card. Catholic priests need to keep their hands of the children. Because that is sick and the vatican should not protect these evil pieces of crap. They should be castrated and publically humiliated.
