I live in the mountains in Arizona, where the summer temps get close to 100 and the winter temps plummet below zero! On my deck is an old fashioned mercury thermometer, placed to be viewable from inside the den. But it's placement also causes a bit of inaccuracy because heat lost from the den affects movement of the mercury! Using the ThermoPro's remote sensor allows me to place it almost 100 feet from the house's possible heat source to get a more accurate outside reading. So now I know whether to put on 4 or 5 layers before going out in the colder months. I have not had the unit for summer use. But having the display unit inside also means no possible glare. Numbers are larger than trying to read the old unit. And after checking with a neighbor that bought a more expensive system, that also gives him more readings, this unit's readings have been within 1/2 degree of his. Good enough for my needs! I recommend this product for the service I have gotten so far. I have not had it long enough to determine battery life.Read full review

The background is a dark gray, not like the picture shows and is very hard to read. You can't see it at a glance, you have to move around to see the numbers. should be bigger with the dark background. It works OK, however I would not ever order another one. If the background was lighter I would recommend.

I bought this so I could monitor the temperature in my attic. It has no issues maintaining a reliable signal between the transmitter in the attic and the display unit on the ground floor. The display is accurate, reliable and also provides highest and lowest temperatures. Great value and highly recommend.

This is a high quality product. The monitor's receiver is easy to read with large digits. More importantly, the unit's temperature and humidity readings are very accurate including the ability to record highs and lows either over a 24 hour period or all time. It was easy to set up and the wireless works well. There may be less expensive gauges available, but the ThermoPro is well worth the additional expenditure.

I needed it to monitor an unoccupied house to watch the humidity level both in the house and in the crawl space below. It looks like it will do that well enough. With the two parts sitting next to each other the temps are about 0.4 deg F apart and the humidity difference is less than 1 %. The master could track up to three remotes but I don't see where to get them separately. Now, if someone would take this same unit and give a selection to see dew point and absolute humidity (lbs water to lbs air) one could track if the air in the differing places is absolutely drier than the air in another location, and one would know what temps to be concerned about condensation. Availability of reasonably priced add on remotes would be a plus.
