Print receipts, wristbands, postage stamps, barcodes, and various labels and tags with this Zebra GC420-200510-000 Label Thermal Printer. Don’t worry about finding space for this device. The label printer only uses a quarter of the space that a standard inkjet needs. The Zebra GC420d only weighs 3.31 pounds and is just 8 inches wide by 9.4 inches deep and 6.8 inches tall. Easily slide this thermal label printer into any corner of your desk or office for quick access to a laptop or desktop computer. Print more than two dozen barcode types, including Aztec Code, Data Matrix, CODABLOCK, UPC-A, and QR code. The Zebra GC420d uses direct thermal technology instead of ink or toner to imprint numbers, words, symbols, and images on rolls of labels in black and white. It prints 4 inches per second, or up to 40 shipping labels per minute, with a 32-bit processor at an outstanding picture quality of 203 dpi. With this freedom, you can skip running to the store for printing supplies, such as ink cartridges, paper, or other expensive print accessories and services that come with at home or the office. The Zebra GC420D Label Thermal Printer works with a few types of media, including fanfold paper, labels, and tag stock rolls. You can also use special media types for custom postage stamps. Safe and legal to use, skip the post office, as well as the cost of ink, and print your postage from home or the office. Read the Zebra GC420d user’s manual to create custom print schedules and automate the printing of labels and other items that you regularly use with the Zebra ZBI 1.0 or the software’s BASIC Interpreter programming language. The software can access scanners, keyboards, scales, and other devices without needing a direct connection to a PC or network. It also works with different compatible programs on the computer, such as Microsoft Office applications, to access and import the address data and resize the information to fit onto a max label width of 4.09 inches and a length that can’t exceed 30 inches. The Zebra Thermal Label Printing software has automatic printer programming language detection to convert commands from the older programming with EPL to ZPL and ZPL II. An internal peeler and cutting system separates each label. If you find errors in the cut, turn off the system, open it, and clean any sticky residue from the tags that you see on the roller. The ZebraDesigner software comes with dozens of label templates to preload, or you can design your own or upload premade labels from your computer files. Print in black ink on white labels or with white imprints on black paper. If you’re looking to add images to the tags, just download them and import them into the ZebraDesigner program. Connect the Zebra label printer to a computer with the parallel, serial, or USB port. The Zebra GC420d printer includes a full software suite with all the applications and drivers necessary to make labels from your home or office using a laptop or desktop PC running Microsoft Windows XP, 2003, Vista, 7, or 8.

    Great Printer. Flexible, Fast, and easy to use overall.

    The printer is great, a huge improvement from previous models. It works great with any type of Shipping label printing you need to do. eBay, Amazon, Endicia, Stamps, all of it. Paper rolls super cheap if you do your homework and search for them. AWESOME, and it pays for itself very quickly. Great investment, and I am very happy and relieved I bought this printer (and Brand Zebra), and not the Dymo. WAYYYYY BETTER than the Dymo, and MUCH Cheaper in every way. You might pay a little more upfront with the printer, but the money you save on the long run makes a huge difference.

    The Workhorse

    There's a reason this printer is used by so many companies to print their shipping labels, several reasons actually. Reliability, low cost of labels, no ink or toner to buy thus saving money, ease of set up and use. I strongly recommend buying the Zebra print server attachment to make this printer wireless.
