    Good replacement for stock....

    Stock 2009 Silverado 1500, no lift, so I went with the 4600 series shocks instead of the 5100 series. Install went fine, rears were 30 minutes total, fronts more involved due to the struts. The truck isn’t Cadillac soft after installing these, I think you’d have to do some spring work to get that ride quality so wasn’t expecting that anyway. What you will feel is a firm, but very controlled stroke of your suspension. Also, if you’re used to feeling like the rear of the truck is bouncing all over the road when you go around turns with bumps/ruts, these shocks lessen that up. I do wish the front shocks had a way to hold the shaft from spinning when you’re assembling the strut, you have to get creative to make that all work right. Went fine, just a little thing to work around.

    2011 GMC 1500 4x4

    My truck was way too stiff on small bumps and leaned way too much when in a turn. With only 40,000 mi I was ready to improve the ride of this truck. After researching shocks & struts for this truck I'm glad I went with Bilstein. The truck now rides like a Cadillac, no longer harsh on the bumps and the annoying lean in the turns is less with better control. This is the second time I've installed Bilsteins on a vehicle and have had the same impressive results. Very satisfied!

    Shock changing, not a simple job!
