About this product

Product Information

Brawl Brothers for Super Nintendo is the second game in the Rushing Beat series, and it brings back the familiar characters from Rival Turf, although they’re now known as Slash and Hack. The two protagonists are now joined by three new characters, who each have their own set of moves and abilities. You get to choose the two characters you’d like to control, while the remaining three are kidnapped by the evil scientist Dieter, who plans to clone them to create his own personal army. Levels can be completed singly or with a partner, and they feature updated graphics that give the game a livelier look as well as improved music and animation. Brawl Brothers is a side-scrolling game that was developed for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992 by Jaleco. The game has the familiar fighting action that is featured on many ROM games for platforms such as Sega Genesis, Nintendo 64, Game Boy, PlayStation, PSP, Amiga, Atari, and GBA. This game follows previous release Rival Turf, and was succeeded in 1993 by The Peace Keepers. As in the other games in the series, players have to scroll sideways and fight their way through four levels. Brawl Brothers is the only known SNES game that has the Japanese version on the same cartridge, and it’s accessible by using a cheat code. During play, gamers can choose one of five characters, or two if playing with a partner. Hack is also known as Rick Norton in the American version, while Slash goes by the name Douglas Bild. Compared to the previous installment, Norton has become more imposing, and he’s developed a deadly German suplex throw to fight his enemies. He has a boss stage that’s a platform surrounded by a steel cage. Bild, who is a police officer, has become bigger, and he now wears yellow boots that protect his calves. His power bomb is much stronger now, but he can no longer use his Frankensteiner move. He now has an Atomic Drop from the back as his alternate throw, and his boss stage features a construction platform that moves as the battle rages. The new characters aiding our Brawl Brothers heroes are Lord, Kazan, and Wendy Milan. Lord is a judo master who is a bit slow and lumbering, but he has powerful throws. He has a temple court as his boss stage. Kazan is a speedy ninja who uses sneak attacks. Kazan’s boss stage features a ninja training room that rotates and has spikes on the floor. Wendy Milan is a professional wrestler who can execute powerful moves quickly. Her stage is a wrestling ring, and she uses the arena's ropes to launch aerial assaults. When you play Brawl Brothers for SNES by yourself, a partner will be randomly selected. The remaining characters will then appear as bosses for the first three stages. The last level finishes with a battle against the final big boss, Dieter, also known as Iceman. This character is a martial artist, and he has an extendable staff that makes him difficult to beat. With the exciting gaming action and updated look and graphics, Brawl Brothers for SNES is an enjoyable way to pass your time.

  • Brawl Brothers

Brawl Brothers is an excellent brawler (fighting game involving 1 against multiple bad guys - 3 or more) Plenty of moves and characters to use. Hero can double click on the joypad to run, however once you are holding a guy, you cannot jump over the guy and throw as in Streets of Rage series. Still great fun. Why have they stopped making brawlers like these?

  • Very good classic

This product is a classic video game for the super nintendo. It is a very fun game that I used to play as a child. I don't remember ever beating this game so it was challenging as a child so let's see how I do as an adult.
