About this product

Product Information

The second edition of this accessible book provides readers with an introductory treatment of communication theory as applied to the transmission of information-bearing signals. While it covers analog communications, the emphasis is placed on digital technology. It begins by presenting the functional blocks that constitute the transmitter and receiver of a communication system. Readers will next learn about electrical noise and then progress to multiplexing and multiple access techniques.

  • Nicely written book

This book is so well written. Reads like a novel and I can't put it down. The only downside is the international version: the prints is not so good and it has the the ink smell. Good thing with this international version is that it doesn't miss chapters as some of the other international versions.

  • great value for money. read from the authors.

this book was recomended by a professor. very well done, I wish I could know it 35 years ago when I was a student.

  • Outstanding Book

This book is on of the best out there on communication theory. Simple to understand and is full of many real world examples. The MATLAB projects are amazing. This is a good review book for Engineerings, undergraduates and graduate students.

  • Not the best!!

It's not the best of texts. Not organized, questions in the assignment are too hard for undergraduate level and the pages look like they were copied.
