This was listed as "open box", so I called the shop to ask for more details. Someone answered the phone right away, which was a great sign, and they told me it was a new guitar that had been returned. When I got the delivery, the outer shipping box was a little beat up, but everything else was basically brand new, tags on, plastic wrap still on the fretboard. I barely had to tune it and it was ready to play. I am very happy with this purchase and the seller.

This seller (proaudiostar) was fantastic across the board! The item was listed as "open box" so the price was a great deal, but I can't for the life of me tell where the box was opened. All of parts were factory sealed in plastic and zip-tied together on cardboard panels, just like brand new. The icing on the cake was that shipping was free and very fast. Based on my experience I just ordered another "open box" item from this seller with no hesitation whatsoever.

    Charvel deserves more features for the money.

    The guitar especially for the colors offered is way overpriced. What happened to the idea that expensive guitars should be in a paint category for the year model but then the surprise colors in light stains or Wudtones theory of letting undampened tone shine through the guitar body verse using other kinds of colors and what they are made of or whatever special colors. Offering the owner more of a one-of-a-kind color choice like there are others out there like mine kind of feel which would also help push the potential Buyer over the edge from buying to purchasing verses the idea of just churning out another instrument verses a piece of what is art and now I own it at 1000 dollars? IN other words, the same dull or too bright colors are a down grade for color choices. Deciding these colors ...

    Charvel baby!!!

    Ooh Lala!!! Yes Charvel is still doing it! Assembly in Mexico doesn’t mean sacrifice of quality with this line of ‘ so cal ‘ Charvel guitars. Deep rich tones and real nice clear highs the volume pot is not linear so that’s good or bad whichever you prefer, tone knob doesn’t change much but I like it cranked anyway so it doesn’t even matter to me. The neck is pretty dang similar to Kramer, fender, and the like.. nice radius makes it quick. It’s unfinished which is new to me, I think I prefer a gloss finish, but that’s just me. Nothing about this guitar disappoints me. I’ve always wanted a Charvel, and I don’t regret my decision of this pro mod so cal Slime green beast!
