  • Works For Me

I have to give this book 5 stars even though it has a couple problems so far. My class is all calculus based Physics, and we move so fast it’s hard to understand everything without reading the book. The book is laid out pretty well. I’ve read everything through chapter 5, and combined with lecture seem to have a pretty solid grasp on the subject matter. Usually I can understand the formulas from the text only, but when I do have trouble, the example problems at the end of each section really seem to help. (you just have to take time to be sure that you understand how the examples relate to the text. The thing that I DON’T like is that the publisher seems to have sold the original company, or something. When you go online to the books help site, as described in the captions under many ...

  • For the Book

I love that the book is very useful in me understanding the material very well in Physics and I am now having a better understanding then I would originally have if I did not purchase the book. Lets just say that it is a life-saver. Nevertheless, the book is great and understanding it is very simple and not as hard as I thought physics would be. Besides, the sellers great so what would you expect!

  • Internation Version of Physics for scientists....

I bought this book because the U.S. version is insanely expensive at almost $300. So $89 was a great deal. The book seems to be in order, its definitely new. I wish i would have known it was the International version before i bought it as the stock photo doesnt show this. That's not too much of a big deal. So far it seems the only thing different is the Front cover and the Big RED Strip that says "this item not for sale in the U.S" Dont know if that breaks any laws, but other than that the product is great.

  • Physics Seventh Edition

The book(s) that I bought were from the original book, Physics for Scientists and Engineers With Modern Physics by John W. Jewett, Raymond A. Serway (2007). The book is split up into 4 volumes, and I received volumes 1+2 which for me translated to physics 201 at my campus. If you are taking both 201 and the physics after it, it is then recommended that you buy the complete book or all 4 volumes.

  • A great book for beggining physics

The book Physics for Scientists and Engineers is a great book for any first time readers on physics. Physics in itself is a tough subject but the book makes it easier. The book clearly presents theories and formulas and allows students to practice what they have learned through a variety of problems.
