    Good Solid Phone That Does The Basics

    I bought this phone for my daughter to use for a few months so she could decide if she really wants to put money into getting a BlackBerry. I figured since she was in college, she may not like it. Actually, this phone helped her make up her mind, that she really does like BlackBerry. While the phone was "older" it still had plenty of life left in it. The keyboard and screen work great. She quickly found her way around and loves having access to more than just text messages. What surprised me about this phone - my daughter liked the more "business" way they organized her life. She felt like her friends "apps" were more for "fun" rather than getting organized.     That's it... I highly recommend the 8830

    As soon as the Red 8830 came out in Verizon stores, I grabbed it. I had a HTC which was my first smartphone, and I really enjoyed it. However, this phone is a step above. First of all, appearance wise, the Red color is really cool and the keys and trackball look great lit up. But now on to the performance... PROS - The battery life blows my mind. I don't even need a car charger or charger at work. This thing lasts all day long. - The QWERTY keys feel great, and are easy to use. It's easy inserting symbols, and I love the fact that when you hold down a key, it capitalizes that letter. This saves a lot of time if you text and email as much as I do. - Emails arrive in a flash. My office doesn't use a Blackberry server, but using BB's Internet service, I get emails sometimes before they ...

    Quick temporary fix

    I purchased this phone when my other BlackBerry died. My contact was 3 weeks away from renewal and the phone company wouldn't budge and let me get a new phone a few weeks early without a major penalty, so I this phone was a great option because it allowed me to keep using my blackberry services and it shipped/arrived quickly. The only thing I didnt like was that there was a significant delay when typing and sending messages...sometimes i'd type a letter or word and it wouldnt appear on the screen for about 10-15seconds. Annoying, but it was better than going without a phone.

    This phone prices was very reasonable with the services that we'll got by this phone. Does'nt satisfied with the Dual Band GSM Band but when i use the CDMA band i got more than i expected. This phone also can be used as a modem for your PC's as i do now when write this review. Keypad was good, but unfortunattely they has no camera. But overall i was satisfied with this phone.
