Handy Tool
Meter is fairly accurate and reads 32F when pointed at ice water. When using in Frig/Freezer, best to point it at a dense container since it maintains temp when frig doors are opened. Thin frigerator panels change temperature with the inrush of warm air. Fun to measure temp of inside house walls starting from base board to skylights and see the 30 degree F rise in the summer time. Nice tool but haven’t used for hot measurements yet (e.g. oven or car engine).Meter is fairly accurate and reads 32F when pointed at ice water. Simple and inexpensive
It doesn't get much simpler than this gadget. Just aim, pull the trigger, and read the temperature at the spot where you see the red laser dot. The 9-volt battery comes packed in the handle. You have to take the battery out, peel off the plastic cover, and snap on the connector to start using the thermometer.

Easy to use
You have to put the battery in before using it the first time. I had a little trouble opening the battery compartment, but it wasn't too much of a struggle. Other than that, it's really easy to use. You just pull the trigger and the screen shows the temperature of the surface you're pointing at.
