  • Richard Scarry's a Story a Day is a "must have"

This is an excellent "must have" for all children. I owned one when I was young, and have fond memories of awaiting the "story of the day" each night before bed. Each story is short in length, illustrated, and relates to the seasons and holidays. Gives the opportunity for a child to be read to each day of the year. Every family should own one, and I hope they keep republishing the original one from 1968 and keep the same wholesome stories, instead of going "modern".

  • My favorite book from childhood! I love this book!

I love this book. I had this same book when I was a little girl (apprx. 50 years ago) and it was my favorite book. It has a story for each day of the year. It gives the child something to look forward to every night. I read it so many times, always on the correct day, I still remember some of the stories and poems. I bought a copy for each of my grandkids and another to leave at my house so they won't miss any of the stories. None of the stories are long, so it's a quick read at bedtime. I'd recommend this to anyone with small children or grandchildren.

  • Nostalgia at it's finest!

So nostalgic. I had this book when I was a little girl. The illustrations and stories do not disappoint!

  • One great book with many good memories

I had this book as a child and also purchased it for my children. We lost our copy many years ago and I wanted my children to pass these memories to their children. I found 2 and bid - and won them. Now my grandchildren will be able to enjoy this book too. This book is no longer in print which is a sad loss - but memories will always be there as I will pass a book to each of my children for their children!

  • My Favorite childhood book!

Everything was as described. It came within reasonable time. Good purchase!
