Dreamscape journey that lowers your blood pressure.
Great cd for its genre' which is unique. Had this album on cassette the year in came out. This is " mood" music which kind of envelops you . Not rock, soul or pop, but kinda of a journey in a dreamscape. Not for all occasions, or jamming to on a roadtrip, but at atmospheric trip into relaxation and numbing of the mind in a good way-artistic. This from a hard rock, heavy metal to jazz guy.

Misplaced nostalgia....
That "song" has been used as a comedic punchline; at least now I get the joke. It's worse than I remembered, and it's not just the bad mixing and dubbing. I get it that it appeals to a shallow or superficial self indulgence, or that some people like it for cheezy "mood music" due to its hedonistic nature. But there are so many other choices out there that wouldn't necessitate demeaning yourself or degrading your partner. What I don't understand is how people would think this is "spiritual" music. I mean, c'mon - Principles of Lust! Since when is lust a virtue? I'm not a religious person, but I'm pretty sure that's one of the "deadly sins" or something like that. Oh well, I suppose many would be deceived as the story goes. It must be the use of the word "meditation" and monks chanting with ... A very unique and wonderful album
This has been my longtime favorite album. It's a very unique record -- have you ever heard anything quite like this? If you haven't heard of or listened to this CD, I highly recommend it because... well, it's like trying something new and completely different. I first heard this back in 2001, and at that time, I wasn't into electronic music at all. That all but changed upon my first listening of Enigma's "MCMXC a.D.". By the way, get the imported "Limited Edition" if you can find it. (There are a few copies on CD for sale on eBay at the time of this review.) This particular version has four bonus tracks, which are remixes of the singles released from this album. (One of the remixes, "The Rivers Of Belief (The Returning Silence)" is exclusive to the "LImited Edition" CD of the album, and to ... This has been my longtime favorite album.
