Shinobido was a title for the Playstation 2 and this is the PSP port. It plays very similar to the PS2 version and all that lacks it the optional weapons that were equipped on the right should action which would give you 8 items in all. On the PSP version you only have the left should button options (direction keys) so you only have 4 items to equip on a mission. Shinobido should not be compared with Tenchu. Shinobido is like some kind of Arcade version of being a Ninja. Which I love. Missions are short as the maps are quite small. However, your movement in Shinobido is MUCH improved. I mean, you dash, cut, flip like how i imagine the comic book ninjas should. It's fast and frantic. Run along a wall, dash and kill. You can do stealth as well which is what you need to do to get the best ratings. Items are varied. There are loads of stuff ranging from shuriken, health items and exploding wind up chickens!!! Cool as... One bonus is that if you own the PS2 version of Shinobido you can design maps and import them into the PSP version. Easy to do. Let me know if you're stuck. I'll load a few up. OK, so don't expect the depth of level/play as Tenchu. Tenchu is like a ninja stealth sim. Put in the time to stealth about - as if you get caught the combat action is pretty crap. As mentioned, Shinobido is an arcade version. Easy to pick up and play. Spend as much time as you like in stealth or go out all guns blazing. I would say it's similar to Hitman.Read full review
