I played this game all the way through before writing this review. I am both a Star Wars Fanatic and a gamer and from both stand points I can tell you this game is very poor. Not the worst game I have ever played, but even as a Star Wars fan I had issues liking this game. The first issue I had was with the mini games you had to play to unlock doors and such. Most aren't bad once you figure them out. The problem is that they give you confusing instructions to begin with and when you fail, they expect you to remember them. they only give you them once. And they are not in the book, so don't waste your time. The wort mini-game is the map game. I have tried for hours to figure this one out. I get it to beep and flash but no map. Not like you really need one. All the levels are straight forward. Follow the halls to the next check point. Kill the baddies. And when the story progress, you have to sit through text and slides. Sorry, no full motion video here. The battle system is pretty straight forward, just be careful when Zeeo, your robot, picks you up and drops you into a pit. Except for the Rancor, the bosses are easy enough. Heck, you don't even know what the point to the game is most of the time. Run, shoot, kill, next level. The graphics are similar to that of the Playstation 1 but are still grainy even on the tiny screens. the New Super Mario Bros has better graphics. I paid $3.00 and it was worth that much. I don't think I would have paid more than $10 though. And the reason I don't sell it is because I collect Star Wars games. If you want a good game and don't like Star Wars that much, stay away. Then again, your kid might get a kick out of it.Read full review
Bought this for my 6 year old and he does have a little trouble but still has a blast playing it.I've played it alot and its very cool and can be tricky but if you stay on course its easdy to figure out . All in all its great!!
I like this game because it's a "shoot 'em up" game without the blood, gore and guts. My son is a Star Wars fan but not an age appropriate for the other Star Wars games (other than Lego). Easy controls. I do wish you could change the main character. It's a girl and he isn't into "being a girl with two ponytails" but he is getting over it because he hasn't put the game down.
Product was exactly as described. My kids love this game. It is easy to use and because the instructions were included, they were able to play immediately.
MY SON LOVES STAR WARS SO I BOUGHT HIM THIS DS GAME. HE ABSOLUTELY LOVES IT. IT WAS A LITTLE DIFFICULT FOR HIM AT CERTAIN PARTS BUT HE IS ONLY SIX AND IT IS RATED E 10+ SO THAT WAS TO BE EXPECTED. HE SAYS IT IS AWESOME!
