    The .22 VIPER

    Absolutely Excellent!! I've been using the Boresnake's for 20 years & they are the best. These will really save a lot of time,and even if you must do a major clean with solvent,these will get all the crud out beforehand. The Viper has a tapered entry nose for easier starting and a third bronze brush built in. Genius!!!

    Not good for a Buckmark! Unless...

    Unless you are willing to disassemble the pistol, which my manual says not to do. Older manuals show you how to do that, though. Google it. This isn't the same as the Otis Ripcord. Here's the difference: Ripcord, which this isn't, is made of Nomex and therefore you can pull it through a hot barrel. It has a helix twisty-rib core that does some cleaning. BoreSnake, which this is, has little brass brushes embedded inside and does much more scrubby stuff when you pull it through. It is not made of high-temp components, though, so this is strictly for cleaning after you get home from the range. Hmm, that reminds me of a song,..
