    Happy to have this unit playing my music...

    Easy to use. I am already familiar with this unit; I already own one of these and am happy with the performance. There is an EQ device Sony made for these systems available on EBay.... automatic EQ'ing.... I am not one to contend with manual audio configuration. I just want to plug and play my music.... I was happy to be able to find another one in such great condition.

    Old technology not enough power

    It was part of home thereafter in a box package. Just basic functionality not enough for today’s HD environment. I needed a cheap solution for a small home theater system using my Jamie speakers but even the highest volume don’t produce enough loudness for my 2.1 set up.

    Great Amp

    Most surround sound amps have video ins and outs. This amp only deals with audio. That for me is good, because I let the TV do the switching. Another unique thing about this amp is that it has a subwoofer amplifier, so you can use a passive sub. The speakers that it came with are only fair, but you can upgrade them later. It would make a great, inexpensive starter system for anyone.
