  • Great investment, not so great flyer

    The Cox Fokker D-VII (D-7) like all other Cox models are rapidly becoming expensive as supplies of these once majestic "Control Line" aircraft either dry up, or change hands from collector to collector. Now that that is said, it is extremely doubtful you would want to buy one to actually use. If you want a more "useable" control line airplane, might I suggest some of the hobby shop lines that are simple in construction, but have more parts available for them. LM Cox is a legend in the hobby community for a very low cost (at the time) and robust control line airplanes. This line includes P-51 Mustangs, Chance Vought F-4U Corsairs, T-6 Texan and PT-19 Trainers, German ME-109 and Stuka dive bombers. And this is only scratching the surface. Buy this airplane only if you intend to collect it, ...
