It's all about tone!
Having the correct set up and combination of items gives you confidence and desire to push forward. These strings were just part of the combination needed to bring the tone and instrument together with the style being played.

I'll stay with the jazz swings.
I have used Thomastics for several years, and they are wonderful to play and last forever it seems. I could not see much difference between the Bensons and the jazz swings for a few bucks less.
